Food in Ancient Greece consisted of grains, wheat, barley, fruit, vegetables, breads, and cake. They grew olives, grapes, figs and wheat and kept goats, for milk and cheese. They ate lots of bread, beans and olives. They would make all of there food. Greece is home to some of the finest ingredients in the world. Some main dishes would be grilled meat, fresh fish, and anything with honey on it. Greek cooking traditions date back thousands of years. Greeks today eat some of the same dishes their ancestors did in ancient times. They would mainly be the same kind of dishes we in to day in life.
The ancient Greeks were a deeply religious people. They worshiped many gods whom they would believe appeared in human form and yet were endowed with superhuman strength and ageless beauty. They had places were they would go to pray to the god or gods that they believed. Whilst the individual may have made up their own mind on the degree of their religious belief and some may have been completely skeptical, certain fundamentals must have been sufficiently widespread in order for Greek government. Some Greek gods are Athena, Apollo, Poseidon, Hermes, Hera, Aphrodite, Demeter, Ares, Artemis, Hades, Hephaistos, and Dionysos.
